Can a Christian grieve? Losing loved ones is always very difficult. However it is even worse when we feel guilty or we are letting God down when we grieve. Jesus said we will experience difficult circumstances during the course of our earthly lives but we can always find comfort knowing He is always with us and has already overcome the world. Because of what Jesus has done, because of the Father’s love, because He is working good in all things for those who love him and are called according to his purpose we are able to live in a constant state of joy. However, we live in a fallen world and it is a reality that sad things happen. Yet we must take great confidence in knowing our Father is holding us in the palm of His hands and is working good in every situation.
So is it okay to cry? Am I letting God down or should I feel guilty if I cry? If Jesus wept, is it okay if I cry? I cannot find a verse in the bible that says a believer cannot cry. In fact, your Heavenly Father longs for you to be so transparent with Him that you can honestly express to Him exactly how you feel at any given moment. He longs for us to be His children. He longs for us to trust Him enough to feel comfortable to share our deepest thoughts, dreams, fears and even pains with Him. A Father’s deepest longing is to be able to care for His children. How much more does your Heavenly Father longs to cradle you in His arms and comfort you.
Don’t hide your fears, failures or pain. Run to the Father and allow Him to comfort you in His arms. Your heavenly Father hold you in His arms, wipe away your tears and be your comfort in your darkest most difficult times. Allow Him to lead and guide you at this time. Though these times are difficult, in these blessed times of desperation our relationship with our heavenly Father will grow far deeper than ever before. No human being can fully comprehend how you feel, but there is One who does! He has born our griefs and carried our sorrows. He knows our every thought and the deepest secrets of our hearts.
Please go to http://powertochange.com/experience/talk-to-a-mentor/ and allow one of our mentors to further care for you but above all else go to your heavenly Father! Share your heart with Him. Tell Him exactly how you feel.
He longs to comfort you. His heart breaks to see you, his most precious child, going through this situation. He longs to gather you in His arms and embrace you. He longs to reveal His love to you in a greater way than ever before. Sometimes when something like this happens it is hard to trust or feel loved by anyone. But unlike human love, your Father’s love will never fail! Even if everyone else abandons you, He will always love you and be with you!
I pray the Father would completely flood your heart with His love and fill the emptiness in your heart you are feeling today.
